Before the Game by Domenico Cennamo

We recently came across this beautiful photography book by Domenico Cennamo called Before the Game.

A refreshing insight by an experienced photographer who makes use of his skill to capture moments by real men within an everyday environment. Domenico made the wise decision not to use real models, and instead found a group of guys through newspaper ads and on the street.  The sporty look of the book gives an insight into the locker-room antics of real men.  Photographed at an old Roman Boxing hall, the guys have real personality, real bodies and the style of photographs leave little yet everything to the imagination… you can make the storyline.  Featuring the locker room, gym, and of course the showers.

Chapter two ‘catches moments of the everyday life shared by friends’.  The playful nature of the bedroom/kitchen/sofa and bathroom scenes will entertain you whilst admiring the simple pleasures which make people happy.

About the Author
Domenico Cennamo was born in Naples, Italy, and grew up in Rome. He started drawing at an early age and studied at the art college in Rome. Working as a booker in a model agency, he realized that he had his very own ideas about how to photograph the models— and without further ado he decided to become a photographer. His pictures were published worldwide in fashion magazines such as L’Officiel, Hommes, Pref mag, Mate and Zero.
